5K, 10K, and 1 Mile Fun Run

5K & 10K races begin at 8:00 am on Greene St. 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 9:00 on Greene St.

Age Divisions: 10 & Under, 11-15, 16-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-60, 61 and over

Details:

Each entrant must bring a new toy to qualify for entry in the race. One toy per family.
Each mile marked.
Two fluid stations.
Pre-registered participants receive t-shirt on race day. Pre-registered ghost runners will receive t-shirt.
Jingle Bells for all participants.
Awards to top 3 overall finishers male/female in 5K/10K.
Award to 1st place male/female per age group in 5K/10K.
Music and Children’s activities.
Free Pancake Breakfast for all participants ($5 for non-participants).
All toys donated to the Salvation Army to benefit children in Alexander City and surrounding areas.
Participants may walk or run any event.
Pre-registration must be postmarked or completed online by November 30, 2008 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Teams:

5K Team must consist of 5 members.
Adult Team (over 14) and Child Team (14 & under) on race day.
Average of all team members will determine team winner.
1st Place Adult and 1st Place Child Teams awarded.
